Dr. Jeff White invites you to make contact with him to discuss your therapy needs. His goal is to help make your mental health and relationship goals a reality by providing excellent therapy and by helping you navigate barriers to receiving the care you need. 

Dr. White is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut and has decades of experience in providing individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. He has earned multiple certifications and received advanced training in many areas of specialization.

Dr. White is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC). He is a Certified Gottman Therapist and a Gottman Advanced Clinical Trainer. Additionally, he is a Certified Discernment Counselor.

Recently, Dr. White completed a three-year International Certification in Dialogic Practice from the Institute of Dialogic Practice in Connecticut. He is also a Certified Thanatologist with the Association for Death Education and Counseling, bringing extensive experience in helping clients process grief and loss.

His training includes certification in Restoration Therapy, which combines the advantages of Attachment Theory, Emotional Regulation, and Mindfulness. Dr. White is well-versed in multiple approaches to individual and family psychotherapy, particularly Attachment-Based Family Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

Dr. White received his Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy from Drexel University. He also holds an M.Div in Christian Education and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary.

He has served as a counselor in three church-based counseling centers: Redeemer Counseling Services in New York City, PCPC Counseling Services in Dallas, and Renew Counseling Associates in New Haven.

Dr. White is married to Susan, and they have three daughters—Gabrielle, Lydia, and Rosemary. He is thrilled to be a part of what God is doing in our community and through the mission of NPC.
